Your camera already emails you, which is exactly the problem: every alert, to one address, with a cryptic subject and an attachment. NVR Bridge takes those in, works out what's actually in the frame, and sends a readable alert only when it matters — to you, or to whoever should know.

How it works

Add your camera
Each camera gets its own private inbound address. Point the camera's existing email or FTP alert settings at it — no firmware changes and nothing to install.

Add the recipient
Any address — yours, a neighbour's, the person who actually watches the gate. They confirm it from a link before anything is ever sent, so nobody is signed up by someone else.

Say what should reach you
A trigger describes what matters — motion on the back gate, a person on the driveway, one particular number plate. Attach the email notification to it and only those events go out. One trigger can feed several destinations at once.

Send a test
Hit Test to push a sample event with sample detections, so you can see exactly how it lands in email before a real one arrives. Every delivery after that is logged with its result.

Questions
How is this different from the camera emailing me directly?
The camera emails on every trigger, to one address, with whatever subject the firmware picked. These are filtered to what was actually detected, readable, and can go to different people for different cameras.
Can I send alerts to someone who isn't a user?
Yes, and that's the point. They confirm the address once, receive alerts, and can unsubscribe themselves from any message without signing in anywhere.
Do I need an NVR or something running at home?
No. The camera connects outward to us using the email or FTP settings it already has. There's no recorder, no mini-PC, no VPN and no inbound port to open.
Can I stop it alerting on every passing cat?
Yes. Turn on detection and filter the trigger to what you care about — a person, a vehicle, a particular animal, any number plate or one specific plate. Everything else still lands on your timeline; it just doesn't interrupt you.
